Legendary fitness industry influencer and icon Jo Linder (aka “Joesthetics”) has died at just 30 years of age. The news spread like wildfire throughout the bodybuilding world.
Jo was one of the good guys. He always treated the fans like friends and no matter how famous he became he never lost that connection with the people. His look was one of the most sought-after as well. Guys looked at his proportions and his balance and wanted to mirror that in their own fitness journeys. After all, a big part of working hard to build the best possible look deals with the recognition of others. That’s not the primary focus but it’s definitely one that’s a fringe benefit. Sadly, one of the realities of physique-based sports is that many times a person can look their best meanwhile suffer from deteriorating health. No matter how much we talk about the importance of being healthy there are folks who are willing to put it all on the line to look their best.
It breaks my heart that we’ve lost such an inspiring influencer as Joesthetics. He will be remembered for his tireless contributions to the health and fitness. I wish there was a way these deaths could stop, but the bar just keeps getting higher and higher and so do the stakes. This is a world all about vanity where it doesn’t matter how much money you have or even how famous you are, it’s about how good you look. Jo had the look every guy wants. It’s just so sad we’ve lost another great bodybuilder.
We’ve lost another great person.
