Vitaliy Ugolnikov aka GoodVito may have seriously injured himself during a guest posing appearance in Brazil. While I applaud anytime bodybuilders narrow the gap between themselves and the fans, this doesn’t always apply to leaving the stage and literally going into the audience. Some stages have steps on either side. Other more modern stages are even wheelchair accessible from the front. These stages are ideal for bodybuilders that want to take a few seconds to walk (or run) into the audience, hit some shots, and interact with the fans. I’ll be the first to tell you that’s cool. Typically bodybuilding shows can be snooze fests so anything to get people out of their seats, moving around, and screaming at the top of their lungs is a great thing. Sadly, when a bodybuilder jumps off a stage, there’s a whole litany of things that can go wrong and that’s exactly what happened with Vitaliy.
Only time will tell if GoodVito is sidelined for the rest of the summer, the rest of 2023, or beyond. This just goes to show you that guest posing can be dangerous too if the routine isn’t thought out properly. One bad decision can prove to be quite costly and for a professional athlete, that can spell serious disaster.
