Bodybuilding Media Outlets Need To Cover Wes Watson Florida Felony Cases More!

Wes Watson is facing two felony battery cases in South Florida. The first case involves a gang jumping of a disabled man at Elev8tion Fitness in Miami, FL. A second felony battery case involves him beating up his fiancée in Hallandale, FL. In the Miami case, Wes faces two felony charges. In the Hallandale case, he’s facing six felony charges. The mainstream media has focused on the Hallandale case creating a tremendous amount of public outcry. Leading media outlets like Jon Bravo Films and Ballerbusters broke the story, leading to many social media influencers to weigh in as well. That said, there has been limited, at best, coverage of Wes Watson’s criminal cases on some of the biggest fitness industry news outlets. This is troubling because Wes primarily focused on the fitness industry with his bullshit self-improvement and personal training programs.

Many bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts live in a bubble. They don’t watch the [mainstream] news or read newspapers. It’s not that they’re stupid or uneducated, but they are indifferent to what the mainstream media (hereinafter “MSM”) has to say. The MSM informs the mainstream public, but few everyday people would fall for Wes’s con game. Sadly, because so few bodybuilding outlets have covered these heinous crimes consistently, there are still many individuals in the industry who don’t know what Wes Watson is really all about. Moreover, those who may have heard something, are oblivious to how bad the charges actually are. And as a result of that limited to no knowledge of the facts at hand, it’s possible that Watson’s programs are still selling, albeit to a much smaller degree.

Many fitness people still don’t know.

This is why I think it’s so important for fitness media outlets to take a greater hand in covering these felony cases. The hits are there, but for some reason, most of the outlets won’t touch this story with a ten foot pole. My hope is that this changes. The question is, will it? And when?
