Stay tuned for more amazing coverage of the 2024 Kentucky Natural bodybuilding Championships in Lexington, Kentucky. Josh and his team did a phenomenal job and left no stone unturned. I was able to capture a truckload of backstage video, taped a few great interviews, and got tons of candids. Starting today, I will put out most of the camcorder video and shots. As many of you know I’m a one-man army so please be patient. I’ll start sharing IG content Sunday night. Please make sure to follow all of our IG pages as content gets split up between them. If I were to release all the candids and videos on just one page, it would be overkill. I’ve listed the pages below.
As always, I hope everyone had a blast and that competitors make connections with each other. Everyone who competes shares a common interest in muscle and fitness. Only a select few ever go this far in the sport. It’s fantastic to work out in the gym and look after your diet, but to embark on a journey where there is a tremendous amount of effort required, caloric manipulation, and the kind of resolve that many people just do not have, means you should be spreading your wings as much as possible. Networking is huge in this industry. The more people you know, the better off you are. And not just that, try to compete on different stages. jump in the car or buy an airline ticket and go and do shows in other places. It’s also great to get in front of new judges. The most important thing is have a good time! At the end of the day, this is all about you, It’s not about the trophies, it’s not even about getting a pro card – it’s all about you. Enjoy the moment!

What can I say about the event? It was a total homerun!! I would like to recognize Josh Miller. He is a fantastic promoter and has done a tremendous amount of good for natural bodybuilding, here, in Kentucky and abroad. He is the kind of promoter that all other promoters should try to emulate. It is no cake walk to put on an event like this. But at the end of the day the amount of work you put into something will reflect on the finished product. Some people may say “my goodness how is he able to get so many competitors, so many quality vendors, how is he able to pack the house full of audience members?” Well I can assure you that it wasn’t some miracle. I can assure you it didn’t fall from the sky. I can assure you Josh didn’t wake up one day and have this mega successful event. He puts his heart and soul into his contests and he has been able to create something very special in Kentucky’s second largest city.
Josh has also been awesome about making me feel welcome at this contests. The NGA has been extremely hospitable and I cannot thank them enough. Yesterday, at the Kentucky Natural, Josh gave me a really cool plug at the athlete’s meeting and let me address all the amazing competitors. That was super cool of him. Josh also put out a really cool graphic a day before the contest thanking me for covering the show and promoting me and my website as well. Again, total class act. Every promoter should take a page from Josh Miller’s playbook. That’s not to throw shade at other promoters or to say they don’t know what they’re doing, it’s just to say, Josh is the very best. And we can all stand to learn something new everyday.

I’d like to stress to all natural athletes – amateurs and pros – the value of promotion. It is so important to promote yourself, promote the titles you’ve won, promote the physique you build. We live in a social media age. Everybody has Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, just to name a few. You need to be on all of those platforms. Now if you have a job that doesn’t allow you to do that or if you’re a very private person, then hey, no problem, stay private, but if you’re trying to make a name for yourself and you want to reap all of the benefits possible, then exposure is absolutely fundamental to your success. A great physique alone is not going to do it.

If you want to get sponsored or you want to make a name for yourself in the industry, you can always reach out to me for help. I’m extremely busy with my day job and all the other things I do, but I will always make time to at least point you in the right direction. Whether you’re looking for a sponsorship or simply to promote whatever it is you want to promote, you need to be out there and you need to be seen.

A huge part of exposure is doing interviews and being photographed. There’s no shortage of sites that talk about the shows from their studios, but there’s very few that actually go to the shows and work from the shows. I love getting out to contests and doing all the work I do online. That said, I have to buy equipment, pay for domains, webhosting, web design and graphics. It’s not cheap to compete and it’s certainly not cheap to work in the industry, either. I want to send a huge shoutout to my title sponsor IronMagLabs!! IML has a phenomenal line of natural and enhanced supplements. They’ve been around for twenty years and work with all the major websites. Owner, Robert Dimaggio, is a personal friend of mine and one of the biggest bodybuilding enthusiasts you’ll ever find. I can’t thank him enough for his friendship and for the ironclad support of IronMag Labs!!

In closing, please stay tuned for all the great coverage from StrengthAddicts.com. It all be out within a week. I know, i know, why not a day or two? Well, I just don’t have that kind of time, but I promise you – you’re going to love all the content. Don’t forget to follow all the Instagram pages because content will be split among them. As always, thanks so much for all of your support and please be sure to love every minute of every single day you’re on earth! It’s truly a blessing!
