The 2023 NGA River City Classic was held at the University of Louisville, Shelby Campus, Founder’s Ballroom on Saturday, June 24th. This event brought together very hard-working, 100% natural athletes from all over Kentucky and as far away as Columbus, OH. Promoter Kevin Whaley and his staff worked very hard in giving the competitors and the fans a great production.

Shannon Oesterle competes with the National Gym Association (NGA) and absolutely loves it. For the River City Classic, she drove down over three hours from Columbus, OH, to compete here in Louisville, KY. She competed in the Wellness Division. Shannon looked awesome and took the stage with tremendous confidence. Check out her interview just moments after the pre-judging. It was pretty loud backstage and then we had to whisper, but I’m glad we were able to catch up. He also had his whole family join him backstage. You could tell they were VERY proud of him.
