Christian Duque: Talk to us about the first time you lifted weight? What inspired you to start, and what's kept you at it since?
Laura Gray: I started lifting weights 5 years ago while I was in school to be a paramedic. I loved feeling healthy and strong so I started training for shows a year ago. Haven’t looked back since
Christian Duque: With what seems to be a downpour of fad diets and workout gadgets, what's worked for you? What lifts, exercises, classes, or cardio would you recommend for a woman reading this, wanting a feminine muscle like yours, a tight bottom, and overall good health?
Laura Gray: Definitely lift heavy for a toned curvy look! HIIT is great for burning fat and the stair master is great for us ladies to get a tight booty and legs. As for diet I find that carb cycling works well for me and keeps variety in my meal plan.
Christian Duque: What's your take on workout partners? Do you think having that support might help with consistency in training - or - do you think workouts could potentially become social hours?
Laura Gray: I love having a workout partner, makes going to the gym fun! However, I do find that I have more productive workouts when I’m alone and in the zone ;)
Christian Duque: We'll have many more questions for you in a couple of months for your interview, but for now, please take this opportunity to thank all those that have helped you along the way and also please let your fans know how they can keep up to date with you (facebook, twitter, instagram)?
Laura Gray: I would like to thank my parents and my boyfriend who have been there through my whole fitness journey and my fitfam on my facebook page - Fit For Health for their support! I’m also on instagram @ lauravgray :)
